  • Story Text: Four people were killed and eight wounded when a suicide bomber strapped with explosives blew himself up while being searched for explosives in a Shi'ite mosque in Balad Ruz, 40 km (24 miles) east of Baquba, police said. More than one thousand Shiites were inside the mosque attending Friday prayers when the explosion happened. "About one thousand people were inside the mosque , I was walking outside my room when a suicide bomber tried to enter the mosque but because of the guards he could not get inside and blew himself up outside the mosque," Taleb al Tamimi Imam of the mosque said.
