  • Story Text: Pakistani paramilitary Rangers killed four suspected militants on Friday (December 19) including a local commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an exchange of gunfire on the outskirts of Pakistan's biggest city of Karachi.
    The Rangers identified the TTP commander as Abid Muchar and said a paramilitary soldier suffered minor injuries during the operation.
    A Rangers statement said the suspected militants opened fire at the Rangers in the Musharraf Colony area in the outer western part of the city and also hurled hand grenades.
    The suspects were killed in retaliatory action. A variety of weapons was recovered from their hideout.
