- Story Text: Iraqi men of all ages are continuing to undergo voluntary military training at various centres, including historic Babylon. They are preparing for any attack by Western forces as tension increases in the Gulf.
Enthusiastic Iraqi volunteers have been putting themselves forward for military training since the United States and Britain threatened military action to force Baghdad to grant U.N.inspectors unlimited access to sites in their search for weapons of mass destruction.
On Sunday (February 15), Iraq again denied that it possessed any such weapons.
A technical team sent by U.N.Secretary General Kofi Annan to survey the sites arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.
