  • Story Text: INTRO: Israel's frontiers and security, under threat in Gaza, Jerusalem and the West Bank are under pressure again in the self-declared security zone on the Lebanon border.

    Two Israeli soldiers were wounded on Wednesday (October 2) in South Lebanon, during a Hizbollah attack with mortar bombs against a joint Israeli-South Lebanon Army (SLA) outpost in Beir Kallab.

    Following the Hizbollah attack, Israeli artillery gunners bombarded south Lebanon areas facing the outpost.

    In Beirut, Hizbollah (Party of God) said a missile launcher was destroyed in the outpost. The pro-Iranian group is fighting to oust Israeli troops from the 15-km (nine miles)-wide occupation zone.
