- Story Text: A suspect packaged causes a bomb scare and closes a major Paris train station as security worries run high in the French capital.
A suspect package that later turned out to be innocuous forced the closure of a major train station in Paris on Monday (September 27), the latest sign of worries in France about a possible attack by extremists.
The Saint-Lazare station was closed for a little under an hour while bomb squad officers examined and dealt with a package.
The station was reopened soon afterwards.
Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux and several top anti-terror experts have in the last week warned that France faces an increased risk of terror attacks. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
