- Story Text: Three people were killed and seven others wounded by a bomb attack in Baghdad on Monday (October 27), police sources said.
Police said the explosion hit two minibuses in the Ameen district in the eastern part of the city.
"We heard a bang at six in the morning and we went out to see and we saw a minibus hit by a bomb, causing casualties among people," said Jawad Hillo, who lives near blast scene.
Violence across Iraq has fallen over the past year to a four-year low, but militants are still able to carry out frequent car bombings and suicide attacks. Suicide bombings are a signature tactic of al Qaeda Sunni Islamist militants. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
