- Story Text: A roadside bomb near a petrol station killed two people and wounded eight others in Shaab district in northern Baghdad on Wednesday (April 25), police said.
They said that number of civilian cars were damaged in the blast and the wounded were taken to nearby hospital.
On Tuesday (April 24), five people were killed and 17 others wounded by mortar rounds which landed in the Zaafaraniya district of southern Baghdad. Another police source put the death toll at four killed and 10 wounded.
"There was an attack against al-Huda Shi'ite mosque and near a popular market. It is a criminal act that aimed at causing destruction in the country," said Baghdad resident Sayyid Hadi Moussa.
A funeral was held for those who were killed in the attack.
