  • Story Text: A car bomb exploded in central Baghdad on Sunday (March 4), killing two civilians and wounding four others, police said.
    The car was parked metres away from a factory manufacturing car batteries in the Karrada neighbourhood.
    "He (the driver) parked the car here to target the workers of the factory. But all the workers went this way and only a few remained near the gate. Then it exploded. There were two guards here (points), one of them was wounded while the other one died," eyewitness Ali Jaber said.
    Iraqi and U.S. forces are launching a major offensive to clear neighbourhoods of militants and weapons and then secure them in a bid to break the power of Shi'ite militias and Sunni insurgents.
