- Story Text: Two civilians were wounded in a car bomb blast in central Baghdad on Saturday (March 18), police sources and witnesses said.
Police said that a car parked on the side of a road in Karrada district went off prematurely, injuring pedestrians and inflicting damage on nearby shops.
Iraqi security forces rushed to the site, sealing off the area.
A funeral was held on Friday (March 17) for a former head of the municipality in Ramadi.
Khudr Abdaly, was killed by gunmen in a car on Friday in Ramadi, an insurgent stronghold 110 km (68 miles) west of Baghdad, police said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
