- Story Text: Two civilians were killed and 15 others were wounded, including five policemen, when a car bomb exploded near a police station in eastern Baghdad on Monday (December 12), police said.
The attack took place near Baghdad al-Jadida traffic police station in eastern neighbourhood of Baghdad.
"An improvised explosive devise exploded inside a (vehicle) when it reached close to the hospital...there is a number of wounded who were taken to the hospital," said Lt. Colonel Talib of the Iraqi army.
The attack was the latest chapter in Iraq's bloody insurgency just days before Iraqis vote in parliamentary elections. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
