- Story Text: Three civilians were killed late on Saturday (May 10) when a car bomb went off near a popular restaurant in a Shi'ite neighbourhood northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, police said.
The attack, which took place by a parked car outside a popular restaurant in the mainly Shi'ite district of Habibiya also wounded 17 other civilians, police added.
The blast damaged the facade of the restaurant building, scattering furniture and chairs scattered around the area. A number of shops and cars were also damaged by the blast.
Levels of violence rose to their highest in years in 2013, when nearly 8,000 civilians were killed. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
