- Story Text: Two Iraqis were wounded when their house was hit by two rockets south Baghdad.
At least two people were wounded when insurgents fired a rocket into a residential Baghdad neighbourhood on Saturday (April 3) morning.
Parts of one home in the Dora area, in the south of the Iraqi capital, were completely charred after the explosion.
There was a pool of blood in the hallway.
Neighbours said two men inside the house were wounded.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital, one wrapped in a blanket.
Others were thrown to the ground by the force of the blast.
Insurgents fighting the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq often fire rockets and mortars in Baghdad. Many are aimed at the headquarters of the occupation authorities, but others have hit residential areas apparently at random.
Angry residents looking on blamed the attack on the Americans. The occupying forces are increasingly blamed for everything in Iraq, as frustration grows at the unabated violence more than a year since the start of the war. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
