    A chain of at least 16 bomb blasts on April 28 rocked railway stations, airport and other public buildings in Paris and provincial cities, causing severe damages but no casualties. The first bomb went off at St. Lazare mainline railway station in Central Paris and was followed by others at the Montparnasse railway station, the Gare de 'Est station and Roissy Airport outside Paris. Locker rooms, waiting rooms and terminals were severely damaged. Guerrillas of the Corsican National Liberation Front (FLNC), which is seeking the Mediterranean island's independence from France claimed responsibility for the explosions. A spokesman for the guerrilla group said in a telephone call to the Marseilles office of the French News Agency, that the FLNC had ended its truce with the government in mainland France. The guerrillas, who had previously admitted hundreds of bombings in Corsica during the previous 15 months, had not attacked targets on mainland France since the Socialist government came to power in May 1981.
