  • Story Text: Suicide car bomb explodes in front of the Iraqi
    electoral Commission building.



    A suicide car bomb exploded in front of the of the
    Iraqi electoral Commission building in central Baghdad on
    Sunday (July 17), killing three policemen and wounding two
    policemen, police sources said. The car exploded meters
    away from the building, sending remains of the car
    scattered all over the area.

    In a separate attack in Baghdad southern neighbourhood
    of Saydiya, a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint manned by
    Iraqi police and commandos, killing a policeman and a
    civilian and wounding four others civilians, police and
    hospital sources said.

    Earlier a suicide car bomb exploded close to a convoy
    of the Ministry of Interior special forces unit, killing
    three soldiers and wounding nine others according to police
    and hospital sources.
