  • Story Text: Suspects of Istanbul bombings arrive for court
    appearance.



    Allegedly masterminds of the bombings which targeted
    two synagogues, HSBC headquarters and the British
    consulate in Istanbul during November 2003 appeared in a
    criminal court on Monday (September 13).

    Nine of 69 suspects were brought to court for trial on
    Monday.

    Prosecutors are demanding life sentences for five
    suspects allegedly linked to Al-Qaeda.

    At least 60 people, including the British Consul for
    Istanbul, were killed in the Istanbul attacks.
