- Story Text: Israeli forces have exploded what they say was a bomb
factory in the West Bank city of Nablus.
An Israeli army spokesperson said that Israeli security
forces had found an explosives factory in the centre of the
West Bank city of Nablus.
According to the Israeli army they found TATP in the
building which can be used for the process of preparing
explosive devices, and a large quantity of fertilizers which
could also be used for making explosives. The army also found
a ready-made explosive device.
The army carried out a controlled explosion in the building
on Tuesday (May 13) and Palestinian fire fighters arrived at
the scene to try to put out the flames.
Several Palestinians were taken to hospital suffering from
smoke inhalation.
Palestinian fire fighters in Nablus said Israeli troops had
damaged a store and a furniture factory which were adjacent to
the building.
