- Story Text: A car bomb exploded, wounding 20 people including five policemen, in the northern city of Mosul, 390 km north of Baghdad, police said. The car bomb exploded in the centre of the city, targeting a police patrol .
Meanwhile in southern Iraq a civilian was wounded when a roadside bomb went off near a military patrol in the southern city of Samawa, 270 km south of Baghdad, police and witnesses said.
And in Baquba, gunmen ambushed a minibus, killing 5 and wounding 3
Later on Wednesday, a mortar attack in the southern outskirts of Baghdad killed nine people and wounded 17, police sources said.
