- Story Text: A district courthouse in Amsterdam's central business area was badly damaged by an explosion early on Wednesday (September 21), police said.
The investigation was ongoing, the police also said.
Dutch radio reported the damage may have been caused by a grenade.
No one was injured, police said.
There were a lot of damage on different floors in the building, police spokesman Roland Julsing told Reuters.
"This morning, early morning, around 2.30 - 2.45am, there has been an explosion and the explosion device that entered the building behind my back on the third floor damaged a lot," Julsing said.
Julsing said police was looking for at least two suspects.
"There are minimal two suspects, and we hope there are witnesses who have seen that they were here," Julsing said.
The courthouse was the venue of the high-profile trial of populist politician Geert Wilders. He was acquitted of inciting hatred of Muslims in June. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
