- Story Text: Cameroon's Indomitable Lions, on Wednesday (January 6) were preparing to meet Kenya's Harambee Stars in a friendly training match as part of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations beginning Sunday in Angola.
Although Kenya did not qualify for the Africa Cup tournament, the Cameroonian team decided to prepare for the Cup of Nations in the country before they head to Lubango, Angola where they will play their first match in Group D on January 13 against Gabon. They will then meet Zambia and Tunisia.
Captained by Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o, who is also the tournament's top scorer -- the Indomitable Lions will be favourites from the African continent at the World Cup in South Africa in June. They also hope to come out on top at the Cup of Nations.
Cameroon are four-time champions of Africa, winning in 1984, 1988, 2000 and 2002.
In the last tournament in 2008, Cameroon lost to Egypt. In a tense final they conceded the only goal of the game in the 77th minute when then captain Rigobert Song who was playing in his seventh Nations Cup, lost possession giving the Egyptians the title. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
