- Story Text: Deputy prime minister among four Kenyans named to face trial at the Hague for 2007 post election violence in Kenya.
The International Criminal Court said on Monday it would put on trial four of six prominent Kenyans who are suspected of orchestrating post-election violence in the African country in 2008.
The Hague-based court, which started reading out its ruling, said it confirmed the charges against four of the six suspects, without naming any of them.
Kenyan presidential contenders Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto should face trial along with two other men for stirring violence after a disputed 2007 election.
Others are Francis Muthaura, the head of the civil service and secretary to the cabinet and Joshua Sang, a radio journalist.
Two other accused, former Police Commissioner Hussein Ali and Henry Kosgey, an opposition politician were found not guilty of the charges laid against them and were declared free. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
