  • Story Text: A second batch of videos released on Thursday (October 17) taken from security cameras outside and inside the mall on September 21 shows gunmen crossing the car park and shoppers falling the ground to avoid a volley of bullets as they entered the shopping complex.
    Government sources say the material was obtained from closed circuit television cameras in various of the outlets in the Westgate mall.
    At one point smoke rises in front of a gunman who stumbles back. Police said the attackers used guns and grenades when they entered the mall.
    In another shot shoppers are seen crouching behind anything they can find in the corridors where the gunmen marauded. .
    In the four day siege that followed about 60 people died and more are still missing with reports on Thursday October 17 that some body parts were recovered from the collapsed section of the mall.
    Kenya has accused the Somalia group al-Shabaab of being behind the terror attack said to be in revenge for Kenya Defence Forces wresting control of the Southern port city of Kismayu from the group.
