- Story Text: People in Amsterdam take part in International Pillow Fight Day.
Amsterdam's main square was littered with people, and feathers, on Saturday (April 4) in celebration of International Pillow Fight day.
Hundreds of locals and some foreigners playfully bashed each other with pillows by the obelisk at Dam Square.
The event was celebrated in a spirit of fun.
"Today I will say things to my friends I never did, you know...
like kick their asses," said Alfonso, a male participant.
"We gonna have a big huge fight. It's gonna be good," added Amber Bordewijk.
But some people opted for a quick escape.
"It was frightening, everybody is so close to you and those pillows smacking into you everywhere and then you are inhaling all these feathers, so I was like ah, gotta get out," said Kim, a participant from Britain.
