- Story Text: Four KLA fighters have been disarmed by a British
military patrol in the centre of the Serb-populated village of
Kosovo Polje, on the outskirts of the capital Pristina.
NATO troops around Pristina stepped up their efforts to
disarm the Kosovo Liberation Army and prevent them from
entering the provincial capital on Monday (June 21).
The action followed the agreement signed earlier today
between the KLA and KFOR commanders in Pristina.
Four KLA fighters were detained by a British military
patrol in the centre of the Serb-populated village of Kosovo
Polje, on the fringe of Pristina.
Angry Serbs demanded that the patrol thoroughly search the
KLA fighters and some of them threatened to attack them.
A bag with ammunition and serveral machine guns were taken
away from the KLA fighters during the search, after which they
were ordered to turn back to their bases.
