- Story Text: Fighting continued in Bosnia's north west Bihac enclave on Saturday (February 4) as the United Nations (UN) reported more than 30 tank, mortar or artillery rounds were fired near Velika Kladusa.
Troops of the Moslem-led government have been battling Moslem rebels backed by Krajina Serbs from neighbouring Croatia in the Bihac enclave despite a recently declared Bosnia-wide truce declared in January.
Rebel Moslem soldiers loyal to their leader Fikret Abdic say that the main goal of the Bosnian Government Fifth Corps is to re-capture the town of Velika Kladusa and force the civilians to flee to the territories controlled by Krajina Serbs in Croatia.
On Saturday explosions could be heard near Velika Kladusa and tracer fire could be seen nearby. Houses were reported to be on fire in the area.
