  • Story Text: Four thousand Christians from around the world gather in Jerusalem to pray for peace.
    Some 4,000 Christian pilgrims from more than 80 nations arrived in Jerusalem to participate in various activities to promote peace in the city as part of the 25th Feast of the Tabernacles celebrations.
    On Sunday (October 3) the group gathered in the holy city to sing and pray together and to call for peace and to express its support for Israel.
    "Israel is a strong country, Israel has got a strong army, Israel has no other choice than to fight for our lives, but we need one thing: we need support, the support of you. We need the support of the friends of Israel. We need the support of people who know the truth. We need the support of America and we need the support of all the Christians in the world," Israeli Police MInister Gideon Ezra said to the crowd on Sunday.
    All 4,000 pilgrims are expected to participate in an annual Jerusalem March on Monday (October 4), dressed in traditional native costume and hoisting national flags and banners.
