- Story Text: Top Russian and Polish officials meet in Moscow to discuss a probe into Poland's presidential plane crash.
Russian and Polish officials in charge of an investigation into the Polish presidential plane crash held talks in Moscow's government headquarters on Saturday (April 24).
Following the meeting, the head of the Polish delegation Defence Minister Bogdan Klich, said that all of the crash victims were identified and repatriated to Poland.
"Despite the weight of grief on our shoulders we have managed to quickly identify and bring to Poland remains of the crash victims," Klich told reporters.
He also underlined the importance of carrying out the investigation in an open and transparent manner.
"The key word for for the Polish side in this work is "jawnosc" (openness) and for the Russian side it is "glasnost," he said.
Polish presidential Tu-154 plane crashed on April 10 in western Russia, killing 96 people, including President Lech Kaczynski and his wife.
The last 21 coffins bearing the bodies of plane crash victims, among them the plane's pilot, the head of the Polish navy and lawmakers, returned to Poland on Friday (April 23). - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
