- Story Text: Four Swedish tourists holidaying in Thailand were killed in a car accident on Wednesday morning (February 1), near the popular resort of Phuket.
Their Thai driver was also killed in the accident, which took place in the Takua Thung district in Phang Nga.
Thai media reports said a truck crossed the road's central strip separating the carriageways and then hit the car.
Police were looking for its driver who left the scene.
The Swedish victims were all in their early twenties.
The Swedish embassy in Bangkok confirmed the deaths and said they would assist the families the repatriation process.
