- Story Text: "Mystery Men", a tale of would be super heroes with an all star cast has just opened in the United States.Ben Stiller, Greg Kinnear, Geoffrey Rush and Hank Azaria are amongst the wannabes of Champion City.
By day, Roy (Ben Stiller), Jeffrey (Hank Azaria), Eddie (William H Macy) are blue collar workers.But when night falls, they become Mr Furious, The Blue Raja and The Shoveler, combing the streets in search of villains.
Unfortunately, Captain Amazing (Greg Kinnear) has beaten them to it, and he's such a fantastic superhero, that the Champion City is virtually crime free.Bored and desperate, Captain Amazing arranges for his arch enemy, Casanova Frankenstein (Geoffrey Rush) to be released from prison.But the ex-con has plans of his own and promptly kidnaps Captain Amazing.
Mr Furious, The Blue Raja and The Shoveler team up with The Spleen (Paul Reubens), Invisible Boy (Kel Mitchell), The Bowler (Janeane Garofalo) and The Sphinx (Wes Studi), determined to rescue Captain Amazing and become heroes in their own right. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
