- Story Text: Music fans all over the world now have the chance to play VJ with the launch of MTV's interactive website for its new M2 channel.
"M2" aims to give airplay to left-field artists that get little coverage on more mainstream music stations.
Already running on digital TV in the United States, M2 will be available from October in the UK and Europe.
In the meantime, fans of alternative music can get their fix by accessing the chanel's website on www.m2europe.com.
Not only can they view a special internet version of the channel, featuring live performances by some of the most way-out bands going, they can watch clips of interviews and read up on their favourite acts.
The highlight of the site is the interactive page, where anyone can produce an hour of digital music television.
There are 1,500 videos to chose from, and the results are broadcast exclusively on M2. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
