  • Story Text: Kylie Minogue has led a double life from Australian soap opera queen to international pop princess.On Wednesday (October 7) she took a good look at herself in London -- at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
    Minogue has certainly changed since she first exploded into stardom in the eighties.Now in the nineties Kylie Minogue, the Australian soap actress turned international pop diva changes her image more frequently than she changes her toothbrush.
    On Wednesday she unveiled her latest look in London and liked what she saw.It was the new Kylie at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.
    Minogue's likeness was first modelled at Madame Tussaud's Wax Works museum at the height of her fame in 1989.But almost ten years on and Minogue needed a little surgery.
    The Kylie wax statue joins other wax celebrities, such as actor Hugh Grant, actress Joanna Lumbley and chat queen, Oprah Winfrey in the garden party room at Tussaud's, one of London's biggest tourist attractions.
    It takes around four months to create the wax models and costs around £25,000 sterling.Sculptor Stuart Williamson paid attention to the finest detail, such as colouring the eye in water paints.Straightaway, he understood the kind of look Minogue wanted him to create.
    While the old wax Kylie is put out to pasture, the real one continues to churn out the hits and the looks.
    CuteKylie, SexKylie, DanceKylie, IndieKylie...fashion conscious Kylie Minogue has revamped her image time after time.So it's not surprising Madame Tussaud's decided to give their Kylie model a face lift....but given the cost of each effigy they may hope this latest look is more enduring than the last.
