- Story Text: Superman is now available on DVD. Cast and filmmakers were on hand to honor Christopher Reeve and to commemorate the release of "Superman: The movie on DVD."
A check was presented by Warner Home Video to Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation in the amount $10,000 U.S. dollars to honor Christopher Reeve and his work on behalf of the estimated 250, 000 Americans.
"For everyone to get together, it's great. It's a movie and a time in our life we're all really proud of. "It's just hard to believe so much time has gone by and not that many movies stand the test of time," said Reeves in a video taped message.
On hand to present a check to the foundation was Superman co-star Margot Kidder.
"He is a real hero," said Kidder.
