- Story Text: The German court hearing the theft and assault charges against US rapstar Coolio Thursday (December 03) visited the store where the artist allegedly committed the crimes two years ago.
Coolio was there himself with his lawyer.
American rapper Coolio and four of his band members are on trial in the southern German city of Boeblingen.They have been charged with assault and robbery following an incident in November 1997.
Coolio allegedly stole clothes worth 1,500 DM (USD$880) and then elbowed the 29-year-old store manager Nicole Fischinger in the stomach when she tried to stop him.
After turning himself in to police he was released on DM 100,000 bail.The US singer is now on trial in Germany.
On Thursday (December 3) judges and court officials - including Coolio and his lawyer Joerg Prasser - visited the store as part of the proceeedings.
