- Story Text: King of Pop Michael Jackson treated his Korean fans to an explosive extravaganza at Seoul's Olympic Stadium tonight (Friday 25) with support from Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Blackstreet, Vanessa Mae and a whole host of other international stars.
It was billed as one of the biggest concerts in Korean history - but despite the impressive line-up, several people failed to join Michael Jackson on stage for his 'What More Can I Give' show.
Tens of thousands of fans looked on in awe as Jackson put on an impressive performance, complete with theatrical acts involving soldiers, guns and , yes you've guessed it, little children bearing flowers.
One of the planned highlights had been a romantic duet with soul diva Mariah Carey - but she took to the stage alone - no explanation was given.
To add to the spate of mishaps, Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor did not attend, despite the pre-show hype surrounding her presence.German rock group 'The Scorpions' were mysteriously missing from the line-up and as for British rocker Rod Stewart, his satellite link-up with the stadium didn't materialise.
But the show must go on and the fans were certainly not disappointed as a host of international stars took to the stage at Seoul's Olympic Stadium.Performers such as Luther Vandross, Vanessa Mae, Blackstreet and even action film star Steven Seagal delighted the masses during the five hour epic evening. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
