- Story Text: Academy-award winner Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie team up to try and catch a diabolical serial killer in Phillip Noyce's lastest film "The Bone Collector."
A murderer is loose on the streets of Manhattan.
A killer whose brutal slayings leave a trail of cryptic messages hidden at the scene of the crime.
Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) is a detective specializing in forensics, but a recent accident has left him bed-bound, his arms and legs useless and with little will to live.He must depend on Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) to be his arms and eyes to help him find a killer who taunts them, leaving strange clues and promising to strike again.
Playing a bed-ridden character, Washington thought about more than his body as an instrument of acting.
"You use your head, you use your mind, you can use your ears, mouth eyes, nose, face, you can use your heart, your feelings," Washington said.
"I'll be haunted for the rest of my life," Jolie said after preparing for her role.
Jolie spent time in a forensic lab, studying crime-scene photos pictures and reports. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
