  • Story Text: The Argentine prima ballerina, Eleonora Cassano and top dancer from London's Royal Ballet, Inaki Urlezaga, have performed in Caracas' Teresa Carreno Theater along with the Caracas National ballet.
    The Argentine prima ballerina, Eleonora Cassano and top dancer from London's Royal Ballet, Inaki Urlezaga, have performed in Caracas' Teresa Carreno Theater along with the Caracas National ballet.
    Cassano fist came to the Venezuelan city as a child when she was part of the dance group accompanying famous Argentine ballet dancer, Julio Bocca.She is now a mother of a three year old child and performs together with London's Royal Ballet's star and compatriot Inaki Urlezaga.
    "There was tango, Spanish dance, classics, a bit of everything and they were surprised to see classic ballet being danced in a soccer field which is what we are doing in Argentina with Julio (Julio Bocca).It makes us think that ballet in Argentina has really become popular", Teresa explained.
    Inaki, who has danced little in South American and mostly in Europe is often compared to Argentine dancer, Julio Bocca.
    "I think there is a bit of similarity and after Julio (Argentine dance Julio Bocca), after Maximiliano (Maximiliano Guerra, Argentinean dancer) and Julio, there has not been a dancer with an international career.Between Julio and me, then, when I followed his steps it is as if they had said, this is the next dancer but there were many more dancers in Argentina, even before Julio.I don't know if the comparisons are over and that title of being someone's successor,"
    explained Urlezaga.
