- Story Text: Morris Chestnut, D.L. Hughley, Bill Bellamy, and Shemar Moore make up the stellar cast for this ensemble movie that tackles today's man's issues with love, family, and especially women. They attended the film's premier on Wednesday March 21st in Los Angeles.
"The Brothers" is a coming of age film wherein it's principal characters---four lifelong friends---come to grips with their own unique realities and relationships---or lack thereof, that have come to shape their lives as they know them. We see this outstanding up-and-coming cast comprised of Bill Bellamy, D.L. Hughley, Shemar Moore, and Morris Chestnut, supported by such strong female performances by Michelle Union, Jennifer Lewis, and Tatyana Ali.
The twists and turns that this film takes as the storyline unravels, would leave one wondering why it wasn't called, "The Brothers---and the Sisters"! The flip-side perspective that this movie surprisingly provides is the key to leading the viewer to a feeling of true reckoning when it is over. The hilarity, and heartfelt moments along the way, make this a perfect date film, and a standout in the genre of African American filmaking. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
