- Story Text: The 2001 Teen Choice Awards held in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (August 12) brought out some of the hottest celebrities from music, television, and film. N*SYNC, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Sandra Bullock, Destiny's Child, Gwen Stefani, Usher, and Shaggy were all in attendance.
The 2001 Teen Choice Awards became a who's who from the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California on August 12th.
Music heavyweights like N*SYNC, Britney Spears, and Destiny's Child joined movie stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck on the red carpet.
Pop queen Britney Spears took home the award for Choice Female Artist, while her boyfriend Justin Timberlake and the group N*SYNC won two awards including Choice Single for "Pop."
Actress turned singer Jennifer Lopez didn't leave empty-handed either, she walked away with the Choice Dance Track and Choice Female Hottie awards.
The big surprise of the night came when "Pearl Harbor's"
Ben Affleck showed up to accept his award for Choice Movie Actor in person. The troubled actor recently checked himself into rehab for an alcohol addiction. Affleck was visibly humbled by the award and says " I'll probably have to learn to surf now."
