  • Story Text: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are battling aliens once again in "Men In Black 2." Agents Jay and Kay reunite to protect the earth from the scum of the universe. The two mega-stars cause quite a frenzy at the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday (June 26) During a routine investigation, agent Jay (Will Smith) discovers a sinister plot by Serleena, (Lara Flynn Boyle) a Kylothian monster, to take over the planet. In order to save his comrades from destruction Jay must call his former partner, Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) back into service.
    Unfortunately Agent Kay is now a civilian working for the U.S.
    Postal Service, with no recollection of his heroic past. He's taken the time to enjoy the finer thins in life, such as his wife's home made cookies. It's been four years since Agent Kay has worked for Men In Black, the secret government agency that regulates all things alien on earth. It's up to jay to convince his long-time mentor that he has a job to do - to protect the earth from the scum of the universe before it is too late.
    Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones says returning to the role was just like old times when he saw Will Smith on the first day of shooting. 'He works very hard to keep everyone's spirits elevated all day long, every day, and it's a real pleasure, you know, to go to work everyday."
    Still glowing from his Oscar nomination for his powerful role in 'Ali' Smith didn't feel like five years had passed since the first 'Men in Black' film. However he'd just completed filming on 'Ali' and said he had to undergo and adjustment period to cope with his 'Men in Black' role.
    "It took me a couple of weeks, you know, to lose the 'Ali' voice and just get down and start having some fun."
    Joining the cast as the sinister alien Serleena is TV actress Lara Flynn Boyle. The stunning brunette co-stars on the Emmy Award winning television series 'The Practice.' Though she says she was in awe of her A-list co-stars, she admitted she enjoyed being an alien seductress. 'Who wouldn't - and to get paid for it,' she said at the premiere.
    The film also stars Rosary Damson as Laura Vasquez and Rip torn as Zed. All of the stars were at the world premiere - with Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, Christian Slater, Matthew Perry and rapper/actor LL Cool J attending in support.
    'Men in Black II' opens in the United States on Wednesday July
