- Story Text: The worlds of music and fashion converged in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Thursday (October 24) to honour the practioners of looking rich and beautiful.
The event was the VH-1 Fashion Awards and the beautiful people turned out in strength to heap accolades on fellow beautiful people.
"Waif" model Kate Moss was one of the first honoured. Moss won female model of the year, while her male counterpart, Mark Vanderloo, was declared best male model.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who most recently appeared in an adaptation of Jane Austen's "Emma", was awarded the "Best Personal Style - Female" award.
From the world of music, singer Toni Braxton won "Most Stylish Music Video." Pop star Elton John won the Viewer's Choice for Most Fashionable Artist.
He thanked the audience from himself and his hair, saying fashion is about people who "have the balls the make the difference".
