- Story Text: British fashion designer Stella McCartney brightened up the penultimate day of Paris Autumn/Winter 2017/18 Fashion Week with varied palettes and dancing models on Monday (March 6).
As ever, an elegant, star-studded crowd gathered to attend the legendary fashion designer's show at the stunning Paris Opera venue, Palais Garnier.
Among the famous fashionistas who flocked to view the designer's latest collection were Mexican-U.S. actress Salma Hayek and her French businessman husband Francois-Henri Pinault, Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour and Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Hanover.
The models hit the catwalk in chic, slouchy clothing, giving off a relaxed but effortlessly elegant vibe. The ensemble of outfits painted a beautiful picture with a wide-ranging, pastel colour palette.
The collection featured many jumpsuits, oversized jackets, checkered tweeds, loose cotton fabrics, fake leather and suede, grounding the designs in the ambit of classic British fashion.
The finale upped the feel-good factor of the show, as the hall in the Paris Opera palace turned into a stage for the parading models to dance away to George Michael's 'Faith', in what appeared to be a tribute to the late artist.
McCartney launched her own fashion house in 2001 and showed her first collection in Paris in October of the same year. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
