- Story Text: Beachgoers were treated to a muscle bound spectacle in Tel Aviv on Tuesday (June 8).
Universal Trucks Israel (UTI) organised the competition to find the strongest men and women of Israel who could pull a truck the fastest.
Competitors had to pull seven and a half tonne trucks along a 30-meter course in a car park beside the beach.
The men's competition was eventually won by 34-year old Denis Bundernko, who pulled his truck in 20:50 seconds.
Vera Spanyav claimed the title "The Strongest Woman in Israel at Truck Pulling" after she towed a seven and a half tonne truck along the course in a time of 29:24 seconds.
"I am very proud of myself, it was lots of fun. I broke my record from last year, and I won a trip to Greece," Spanyav told Reuters Television.
Spanyav and Bundernko, who both took first prize, each won vacation packages to Greece. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
