  • Story Text: Israeli forces are carrying out limited incursions a few kilometres inside southern Lebanon, an army spokesman said on Saturday (July 22).
    The Israeli army said it attacked over 150 targets across Lebanon in the last 24 hours, including a Hizbollah weapons bunker, command posts and 11 rocket launchers.
    The army said it also bombed 12 roads connecting Lebanon and Syria, and communication lines used by Hizbollah.
    Meanwhile at least 10 rockets fired by the Lebanese guerrilla group hit towns across northern Israel, injuring 10 people and damaging two houses, medics and the army said.
    A house in the town of Carmiel, about 15 km (10 miles) from the Lebanese border, received a direct hit with a rocket, leaving two people with minor injuries, medics said.
    The city of Haifa also went under alert.
    "We are now hearing the siren. There is another attack apparently on Haifa, and we see that the Hizbollah, this proxy of Iran, is trying to do whatever it can to disrupt life in Israel, and bring suffering to the people of Israel and Lebanon. We will relentlessly seek to destroy the potential of this murderous organisation, and will go after them, wherever they are," Israeli Government Spokesman Avi Pazner said.
    Other rockets hit the towns of Nahariya and Rosh Pina, closer to the Lebanese border, medics said.
