- Story Text: Around 100 protesters gathered outside the Israeli embassy on Friday (August 19) protesting the death of three Egyptian army men killed when Israeli forces hunted for the gunmen behind Thursday's roadside ambushes in Sinai.
Protesters were chanting slogan against the Israeli Ambassador to Cairo, demanding he to leave and asking the Egyptian military council to stop exporting gas to Israel.
One protester blamed the Camp David peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.
"I don't know why we have that treaty with Israel? Israel is an occupation gang. This is the Palestinian embassy [he means that Israel took it from Palestine]," protester, Essam Hafiz said.
Protesters tore down a protective fence surrounding the embassy.
Egyptian army soldiers moved in front of the building to securing the main entrances. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
