- Story Text: About 70 Israeli tourists, including those lightly injured during an attack on a bus in Bulgaria, arrived on Thursday (July 19) to Ben Gurion airport.
According to the Bulgarian Interior Ministry, a suicide bomber carried out an attack that killed seven people in a bus transporting Israeli tourists in Burgas.
Israel said Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants were to blame.
The attack took place on Wednesday (July 19) at Burgas airport, a popular gateway for tourists visiting the Black Sea coast.
Visibly shaken, survivors recalled escaping the bus moments after the explosion.
"I was supposed to loose my life in a split second if I hadn't jumped out of the bus window," said Moshe Museri from the arrivals hall.
"What do I remember from the moment of the explosion? Bodies on the ground, disconnected hands and legs," Museri added.
According to witnesses body parts were scattered over the ground around the bus.
"We saw all the people running to the front of the bus, and we jumped from the window, both of us. and unfortunately there were three bodies laying there when we jumped. And everyone who managed to jump from this bus (was) saved, all the others were all dead or wounded," said Shalom. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
