- Story Text: Thousands of excited fans flocked to a Tel Aviv park on Monday (September 10) for the first ever concert by the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Israel.
A decade after the American rock band cancelled their gig in Israel due to security concerns during the second Palestinian Intifada (uprising), the Chili Peppers rocked the outdoor park with many of their classic hits.
"The show was great, the first part, but it got a little too mellow I think the guys kind of grew old but altogether it was pretty damn good," said Shira Geller.
Aviad Cohen, another Peppers fan said he hopes they will come back to Israel in their next tour.
"It was really awesome, I enjoyed the show and go for it, the next tour, amazing, I hope they will come back to Israel," he said.
"The crowd just went crazy and after 12 years they we were so waiting for you to come here it was the greatest evening in my whole life," said Shir Meir.
The band, on a Mideast tour, headed straight to Jerusalem's Western Wall after their arrival on Sunday (September 9).
