A fire broke out in forest in Israel on Wednesday, the latest in the series that have been blamed on Palestinian arsonists. Twenty hectares (50 acres) of trees and orchards were destroyed in the Judean hills near Mevasseret Tzion.
The underground leadership of the Palestinian uprising in the occupied territories called on its supporters to make June 23 "the day of arson".
Since April some 14,500 hectares (36,000 acres) of forests and orchard have been destroyed in fires which Israel authorities have been blamed on Palestinian activists.
Jewish organization around the world have pledged to raise the money to replace the estimated 100,000 trees destroyed.
