- Story Text: A group of the Israeli-allied South Lebanese Army members have returned to
Lebanon after fleeing the south with withdrawing Isreali forces last week.
30 SLA men and their families who fled to Israel as the Jewish state
withdrew its forces from south Lebanon last week, returned to Lebanon on Sunday
(May 28).
The men, their wives and children were carried across the Israeli border
into Lebanon aboard United Nations buses.
UN peacekeepers were on hand to help the women and children get off the
buses as they were met by their families who were waiting to drive them home.
The SLA men however were detained by Lebanese security forces and were to
be taken away for questioning.
