  • Story Text: Israeli soldiers who will not be able to vote at their registered addresses in general election on Tuesday (March 17) cast their ballots on Sunday (March 14) at army bases across the country.
    The ballots are not counted by the army but sent by post to the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, to be counted there.
    Official voting in Israel's general elections begins on Tuesday at 0500GMT. Israelis will be choosing among party lists of candidates to serve in the 120-seat Knesset.
    No party has won a majority of seats since Israel's first election in 1949.
