- Story Text: Israel's Foreign Minister Mr Abba Eban has been holding talks in New York this week, seeking a way out of the impasse in Dr. Jarring's efforts to arrange a Middle East peace settlement.
Earlier in the week, U. S. Secretary of State William Rogers suggested Israel should seek security through political rather than territorial means. His remarks were rejected by Mrs Golda Meir in Jerusalem.
Meanwhile the fate of the territories occupied in the June 1967 war remains uncertain. This film, from the disputed West Bank of Jordan, illustrates various aspects of the question -- Israeli tourists visiting Abraham's tomb at Hebron, a holy place to both Arabs and Jews, and Israeli soldier-settlers cultivating land at a Nahal pioneer settlement.
