Arab women living in the village of Sur Bahir were rounded up by Israeli forces for questioning on Thursday (June 14) following the stabbing of an eleven-year-old boy in East Jerusalem.
The child, Idan Mizrahi, was stabbed in the back while waiting at a bus stop earlier the same day. Witnesses said they saw an Arab woman pull a knife out of her bag and plunge it into the boy's back.
Minister for police Roni Milo visited Sur Bahir after the attack and told reporters: "This is terrorism, not only against grown-ups, but also against children. Israel's police force should do whatever is needed to prevent such attempts and defend Israeli citizens against these kind of attempts to kill and murder them."
